Joyride
Joyride was inspired by the song of the same name by Adam Melchor. I sketched it during a visit to my childhood home while struggling with the changes I saw there.
These 2 pieces were sketched digitally on Procreate and then traced onto Strathmore Bristol paper. I then used gouache to paint the base layers of color and some detail work. Next I layered Prismacolor pencils to add texture and visual interest. The final step was scanning adding the text digitally on Procreate and editing the scans on Photoshop.
